The prestigious ESMRMB - Young
Investigator Award offers young researchers a unique platform to stand
out from the crowd and to boost a career!
The ESMRMB announces the competition for the Young Investigator Award for the
2017 Barcelona Meeting. The competition is open to young clinicians and scientists
at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.
Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
The major criteria for the selection
of finalists are the overall achievements of the candidates in MR as
documented in the CV (incl. a publication list) and the quality of the
published or submitted paper in MAGMA.
• Be under 35 years of age as per January 1, 2017
• Member of the ESMRMB
• Submission of a CV to ESMRMB Office, indicating excellence
performed MR research by May 18, 2017.
• Submit an abstract of a Scientific Session communication as
author via the electronic abstract submission system until the
extended submission deadline on May 23, 2017, 9:00 CEST.
• Publication or submission of a full manuscript to MAGMA (“Magn Reson
Mater Phy”, the official journal of ESMRMB) in the field of the work of
the submitted abstract from October 2016 onwards until May 18, 2017
(note that NO extension will be granted for your submission to
MAGMA). Please note that this is a major criterion for eligibility.
Please also note that the publication or submitted manuscript can
be a report on original research or a review.

The winner will receive € 1,000, and the two other finalists € 300 each. Tthe winner will be selected by a jury after presenting their work at
the annual congress. Each price may be awarded to a clinical, a
preclinical or a basic science study. If you have any questions, please

The YIA finalists will be notified during the abstract notification process in July 2017.
