Young Investigator Award

The ESMRMB is proud to announce the 2020 ESMRMB Young Investigator Award. The objective of the Young Investigator Award is to honor and support young clinicians and scientists at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate level.  During the Annual Scientific Meeting, three young researchers will have the opportunity to present their scientific work and compete with each other for the following prizes:

  • 1st prize: € 1000
  • 2nd prize: € 300
  • 3rd prize: € 300

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be under 35 years of age as per January 1, 2020
  • Member of the ESMRMB
  • Submission of a CV to the ESMRMB Office, indicating excellence in performed MR research
  • Submission of an abstract of a Scientific Session Communication as a first author via the electronic abstract submission system
  • Publication or submission of a full manuscript to MAGMA (Magnetic Resonance Materials in Physics, Biology and Medicine, the official journal of the ESMRMB) in the field of the work of the submitted abstract from October 2018 until June 19, 2020. Note that no extension of this deadline will be granted! This is a major criterion for eligibility. The publication or submitted manuscript can be a report on original research or a review. Ensure that the format of your manuscript conforms to the instructions for authors of the journal at http://www.springer.com/medicine/radiology/journal/10334 before submitting your paper via the web-based submission system: https://www.editorialmanager.com/mrmp/default.aspx

Deadline for submissions: June 19, 2020

Finalists will be informed in the course of the abstract notification process in August 2020.

Early Career Fellowship Programme

The ESMRMB is proud to announce the new ESMRMB Early Career Fellowship Programme.

The goal of the Early Career Fellowship Programme is to enhance the involvement of early career researchers in our society.
The fellowships are awarded for two years, during which time the registration fee for two successive congresses will be waived (ESMRMB 2020 Online meeting and 2021). Fellows will also have the chance to work with the ESMRMB Congress Planning Committee to organise a session at the ESMRMB Annual Scientific Meeting 2021.
Two fellowships will be awarded in 2020. Applicants will be notified by email in August 2020.

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Member of the ESMRMB
  • Junior researcher (less than 5 years since completion of PhD/MD)
  • Attendance at two or more ESMRMB events over the last three years
  • Submission of an abstract as a first author via the electronic abstract submission system
  • Submission of a CV to the ESMRMB Office
  • Submission of a letter of application to the ESMRMB Office
  • Submission of a letter of recommendation by your supervisor/head of department the ESMRMB Office

Terms & Conditions

Please note that registration fees cannot be reimbursed! In case you registered and balanced the registration fee for the Annual Scientific Meeting before being accepted for the Early Career Fellowship Programme, the ESMRMB will not refund any amount after acceptance for the Fellowship Programme.

Complete applications that are rejected due to the limited number of places available, will receive the opportunity to register at the early registration fee until 2 weeks after notification of rejection.
